This shoot was definitely one of the hardest Lacey and I have ever done. Dealing with the long hike to get to this spot and cold temperatures were nothing compared to the unexpected force we received on top of a cliff. When Lacey was standing on a cliff halfway through the shoot, a HUGE wave knocked her down and me with it…submerging myself and my camera completely underwater. I was devastated. I thought for sure that my camera was destroyed and all the images we had taken prior to that were gone completely. However, my Nikon held up for me and worked totally fine after that! And I can’t believe Lacey got up smiling and laughing at herself after being knocked down that hard! That’s one of the many reasons why I love her.
I know I may say this often, but this shoot is everything to me. It took me MONTHS to narrow down the photos and I still couldn’t narrow it down to anything less than 70. Each photo means something to me. Each photo you see is one I couldn’t let go of.
